Apple celebrated the arrival of the new year with a small touch on the ‘Apple Store’ application. While browsing the company’s online store with their iPhone or iPad device, users will be able to create a snowfall effect that will fill the entire screen. To do this, a three-word phrase must be written in the search field.
To activate the feature, users must first install the Apple Store application. Accessible directly from the App Store, the online store features all Apple products, from accessories like MagSafe to iPhone, AirPods and Mac devices. With the update that came the day before January 1, 2022, it is possible to snow from top to bottom on the screen.

After installing the Apple Store application, go to the search box. Then type and search for the word ‘Let it snow’, which is the English translation of the sentence ‘Let it snow’. Now on iPhone, snowflakes will automatically form floating from the top of the screen to the bottom. By the way, you can move the falling snow by shaking the phone with your hand, similar to a snow globe.
The snowfall effect affects the entire Apple Store application. It is not limited to the Search tab, where you can search for things. It is also snowing in other tabs such as ‘Workshops’, ‘Shop’, ‘For You’, ‘Bag’.
However, it resets every time I enter or exit the Apple Store, so you have to rewrite the word ‘Let it snow’. Also, when you close the application, the snowfall effect stops working. So it doesn’t apply to the whole phone.
This isn’t the first time Apple has done this. Referring to the period by adding an Easter egg with Augmented Reality (AR) in its event announcements, the company showed the last example of this in its Unleashed promotion. While explaining the date and time of the Unleashed event, where the new generation AirPods and Mac devices were introduced, it also secretly included an Easter egg in the form of AR.
