WhatsApp is working on a feature that will improve communication within the platform. The “Channels” tab, which is already in Telegram, is finally coming to WhatsApp as well. This feature will allow users to receive messages from creators on specific topics.

A similar feature was previously available for Instagram. When you enter a channel on Instagram, it is possible to see messages and announcements shared by the creator. A similar feature will now be available for WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Channels will provide more options for users to interact with each other. This new feature will come in handy for brands and influencers who want to build their own community and expand their followers. In addition, those who join the channel will receive instant information about a particular topic.
In fact, it should be noted that a similar feature is already offered in Telegram. Brands that open channels in Telegram can announce their campaigns and special opportunities through these channels. The new feature in WhatsApp will also allow users to stay up to date on topics of interest.
The new feature is being tested in WhatsApp Beta 2.23.8.6 for Android. There is no official release date for the channels, but it is expected to be available soon.
