The latest design of YouTube Music’s “Now Playing” page is now available on all iOS and Android devices; with a new feature that adds an extra social element to the application… You will now be able to read and send comments on the page of the song playing. This option has been limited to playlists until now.

According to screenshots shared by 9to5 Google, some of the comments on the page may be from several years ago. It looks like Google is filling this section with comments from relevant YouTube videos, good or bad.

The updated design is rolling out gradually, so you might not see it right away, but there are other changes as well. Album cover images have been enlarged and a scrollable line of buttons has been added just above the progress bar. Thanks to these buttons, operations such as recording, sharing, downloading and accessing comments have become easier. However, the comment option is only valid for songs with videos.

Until now, accessing most of the previously available actions required an extra tap. The buttons look very similar to what you’ll see at the bottom of the YouTube video player. Additionally, it looks like it will be easier to access more controls because they are located at the bottom of the screen.
