WhatsApp recently offered its users status updates that disappeared within 24 hours. Then it brought the instant photos feature that disappears in the chat. The platform is now working on messages that can be opened once. WhatsApp is also working on the Retained Messages feature, which may contrast with this.
Retained Messages, as the name suggests, will ensure that the message is pinned from both sides. The innovation, which will be valid for in-chat disappearing messages, will be seen from both sides if fixed. This function will be useful for users in case of an important message with disappearing messages.
The Retained Message will be easily distinguished from the others thanks to a small icon in the lower right corner of the message. The innovation is currently in the testing phase.
