Some WhatsApp users prefer to send a message to themselves or the person they are disabled instead of using their phone’s note or reminder application. It is easier to enter WhatsApp instead of using the notepad, as it is the most used application. The instant messaging application started testing a new feature after many people did just that. So, what is this feature and how will it be used? Let’s take a look at the details of the news together.

WhatsApp is testing the ability to send messages to itself!

WhatsApp is the most used messaging app with 3.71 billion active users worldwide. The application frequently makes innovations and improvements to optimize the user experience. WABetaInfo also announced that they are testing a feature where WhatsApp users can send messages to themselves, with the article shared on their blog account yesterday.

The self-messaging feature, which is currently under testing for WhatsApp, will work as if sending a message to a normal user. In other words, the owner of the account will also appear in the list of WhatsApp contacts. However, this is not visible for now as the feature is in the testing phase. It will sync with the refresh of the contact list in future updates.

The self-messaging feature is currently under testing in the Beta version of WhatsApp on devices with Android and iOS operating systems. It is unclear for now when the innovation will be completed and will come to the stable version.

The instant messaging application will also include the profile photo of people in group chats, a feature it is testing again. Profile photos that will appear in Groups chats will appear on the left side of the message bubbles. People who do not use a profile photo or photos that are not visible for privacy reasons will appear with the default profile icon.
