As we shared with you, it was recently announced that Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar have banned Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness due to the gay character. Now, a similar decision has come from another country.

According to the news, the highly anticipated production is now banned in Egypt. In the post shared on IMAX’s official Twitter account, the following statements were made: “Doctor Strange and Wanda will not be here on their inter-universe journey. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will not be released in Egypt.”
It is stated that this decision of Egypt was taken for a similar reason with Saudi Arabia. For those who don’t know, a character named America Chavez, who will be played by Xochtil Gomez, will join the MCU with this movie. This character will also be gay in a comic book fit. In other words, it is possible to say that there is a possibility that Egypt banned the film for this reason. The director of the production, Sam Raimi, also stated in his statements that this character has a great importance for the movie. He also appeared for the Marvel movie Eternals, which features another gay character from similar countries.
We will see Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen as Doctor Strange and Wanda Maximoff again in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will be released on May 6 in our country. Also in the movie; Chivetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Rachel McAdams and many other famous names will also take part.
