Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) has opened the Draft Charging Service Regulation for electric vehicles, which has recently become widespread in our country, until February 4th. Here are the details…
Businesses with at least 50 charging stations will be able to obtain a license.
After electric vehicles have become more popular day by day and have replaced cars with internal combustion engines, necessary steps have been taken regarding the issue in our country. In this direction, EMRA has opened the Draft Charging Service Regulation to the public until February 4th.
According to the draft, businesses with at least 50 charging stations are planned to obtain a license. Electric vehicle users will be able to receive service by seeing the charging network operator license holders through the mobile application developed by EMRA. On the other hand, price information will also be available through the same application.
The charging network operator will establish the charging network consisting of at least fifty charging units within six months from the effective date of its license. At least five percent of the charging units in the charging network and at least seventy-five percent of the charging units on the highways under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways will be required to be DC 50 kW and above charging units.
Another remarkable detail in the aforementioned draft is that charging network operators can conclude loyalty agreements with vehicle users. In this direction, the user who wants to make a loyalty agreement with the charging network operator must apply to the relevant charging network operator in writing or through the company’s corporate communication channels or e-Government. The loyalty agreement can be made in writing or at a distance.
The charging service price will be determined based on the energy unit cost spent within the scope of the loyalty agreement. However, no additional fee will be charged to the owner of the electric vehicle.
