Todd Howard joined Kinda Funny XCast to talk about Starfield and shared some important information with gamers. Although Bethesda, behind Starfield, shared 15-minute videos last year and 45-minutes this year, there are many points that are not mentioned and unsaid given the scale of the game. Some of these have finally been answered.

No ground vehicles, jetpacks

There’s one important thing that all of Starfield’s shared videos don’t show: the exploration process on planets. According to Todd Howard’s statements, he announced that there will be no ground vehicles in Starfield. In other words, the explorations to be made on the planets will be carried out on foot or with a jetpack that you can fly. While the jetpack will alleviate some of the concerns about exploration, it’s admittedly a bit disappointing that we won’t be able to explore planets with a suitable instrument.

On the other hand, the ground vehicle can be added to the game later or by modders. Another missing feature that was confirmed during the interview is fishing. Skyrim eventually got the fishing feature, perhaps with the approval of the Shattered Space story expansion, it could come to Starfield after the game’s release.

10 percent of planets will have life

In addition, it is stated that about 10 percent of the planets in Starfield will have life. It is also reported that there is biodiversity on the planets. From space combat to spaceship building, enhanced RPG features to much more refined weaponry, romance options to outposts, and the amount of handcrafted content (more than any other game they’ve ever made), these shortcomings seem pretty minor if Bethesda can deliver everything it’s confirmed to be in the game.

Todd Howard said in an earlier interview that it felt like playing five or six games at once. A while ago, Xbox Game Studios President Matt Booty claimed that Starfield had fewer bugs than his previous games. Starfield will be released for PC and Xbox Series S|X on September 6th.
