Apple Silicon stepped into processor production last year with the M1 processor it developed for Mac devices. Ultimately, in the fourth quarter of this year, Apple’s revenue from Macs reached $9.18 billion. Its processor has a great contribution to this. In addition, the company had the largest revenue ever from Macs.

Finally, new plans of the US-based technology manufacturer have emerged. Apple Silicon focused on getting ahead of Intel. Here are Apple’s plans in this regard…

Apple’s 3nm Mac and iPhone will arrive in 2023!

Apple’s new Macs feature Apple Silicon processors. The Information suggested that Apple has no intention of slowing down on this issue. He noted that in the coming years, the company plans for even faster second- and third-generation chips. He claimed that 3nm Mac and iPhone chips will arrive in 2023.

The technology giant’s M1, M1 Pro and M1 Max chips were developed with 5 nanometer production technology. Allegations suggest that Apple will announce new chips with an upgraded 5 nanometer technology in 2022. Apple plans on at least some of its new chip models to come with two dies. For example, desktop Mac devices can also accommodate larger chips, thus doubling the performance.

In addition, Apple and chip maker TSMC aim to produce 3-nanometer chips for Macs by 2023. These chips can have up to four dies with 40 CPU cores per chip. However, the codenames for the third-generation chips are ‘Ibiza’, ‘Lobos’ and ‘Palma’.

The iPhone is also expected to switch to 3-nanometer chips in 2023. So the latest rumors for Mac and iPhones are in this direction. Thus, it is in question that Apple will maintain its leadership in silicon performance in the smartphone market. Also, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has previously suggested that Apple’s top-of-the-line chip will contain four dies.

Rumors have it that the 2022 MacBook Air will have less powerful chips than high-end chips due to thermal restrictions. However, it will still house Apple’s first second-generation chip.
