CERN has been and continues to be the subject of various conspiracy theories, from the creation of black holes to the sacrifice of humans. This year’s conspiracy theory, on the other hand, seems to be built on the Large Hadron Collider operated by CERN, opening a gateway to a parallel universe.
The allegations made recently on Twitter are in this direction. Alternate dimension theories stem from the fact that the Large Hadron Collider has the ability (theoretically) to discover the existence of new dimensions. “How can we test for extra dimensions? One option would be to find evidence of particles that could only exist if the extra dimensions were real,” CERN writes on its website.
The article continues: “Theories that propose extra dimensions predict that heavier versions of standard particles will have other dimensions, in the same way that atoms have a low-energy ground state and excited high-energy states. These heavier versions of particles should have exactly the same properties as standard particles. and they should be detectable by our detectors. The only difference is they have more mass.”
If CMS or ATLAS finds a Z- and W-like particle (the Z and W bosons, which are carriers of the electroweak force), with a mass 100 times greater, for example, this could suggest the presence of extra dimensions. Such heavy particles appear only at high energies reached by the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
Another possibility is that the LHC could produce transient and incredibly small black holes. The appearance of these microscopic black holes could tell us that extra dimensions exist. However, they are not something that will swallow the planet and collapse on themselves in 10-27 seconds.
