The console half between Microsoft and Sony is in full swing. Finally, in November of 2020, first Xbox Series S and X, then PlayStation 5 were introduced. Now it turns out that both sides are counting the days to introduce their new devices. Here is the PlayStation 5 Pro release date…
PlayStation 5 Pro release date has been announced! Xbox Series S and X will be renewed
Microsoft and Sony’s collaboration with AMD has produced very satisfactory results. Especially the RDNA2 GPU units of the chips in these consoles brought more performance than expected with the optimization of the companies.
According to the information revealed today, this cooperation will continue. In fact, it is stated that the relevant work process is currently ongoing. In this context, we are likely to see new consoles in the last quarter of 2023. However, it is said that if problems such as the chip crisis in the market continue, it is likely to extend to the first quarter of 2024.
When we look at the new upcoming devices, Sony will go directly to the Pro instead of the Slim model. In other words, PlayStation 5 Pro will appear first. Because, it does not seem possible to make thin-case models of these devices without seriously increasing their cost or restricting their performance.
At least today’s technology requires it. Of course, after 2-3 years, it can be done by using a different chip with much lower power consumption and close performance. But for now, it is stated that the target is higher performance. It is claimed that they will provide 8K video output. But the main focus will be on 4K support for all games.
On the Microsoft side, the release date of the new consoles is very close. However, it is said that the hardware of the existing ones will be strengthened rather than a new model. Moreover, not only the high-performance Series X, but also the S model. In other words, we can see that they are introduced one after another as in 2020.
