LinkedIn, where more than 800 million people currently list their professional profiles to improve their careers, plans to add features that will allow users to spend more time on the platform in the new period. The famous company introduced a new event platform resembling Clubhouse, where increased interaction and live reactions will be listed.
LinkedIn will also pave the way for video chats
With the new feature, which will be offered to users in beta version by LinkedIn this month, it will pave the way for users to hold audio meetings just like Clubhouse and Twitter Space. According to the statement made by the famous platform, if the process continues positively, a video call version of the same application will be released in the spring.
The fact that virtual events and meetings attracted much more attention compared to previous years, especially under quarantine and pandemic conditions, caused social media platforms to turn to different projects.
Indicating that the success of Twitter, which doubled the number of users with the Twitter Space move, is an important criterion for them, LinkedIn Product Manager Jake Poses stated that the goal of the platform is to give the control to the organizers themselves and that they want to pave the way for table meetings and conversations held in the virtual environment. It was also underlined that LinkedIn will increase the interaction with professionals to a higher level in the coming period.
As it is known, LinkedIn has been working effectively for the last few months to create a wider and more active user base. Finally, the platform, which created a $ 25 million fund last fall and has a total of 1.5 million content creators, will continue to integrate popular features of other platforms to the site to increase this number.
Finally, the social media and professional business platform, which stated that this feature was being worked on in March of last year, thus took the first step into a Clubhouse-like voice chat system.
