The most serious rumors we hear about Apple’s iPhone models are centered around solid-state buttons, which are always rumored to replace physical keys. So much so that, while it was first discussed that only Pro models will have such buttons, the latest claim said that all iPhone 15 models will say goodbye to physical buttons.
But now, a new study by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shows that Apple will opt for regular buttons instead, due to “technical problems it couldn’t fix before mass production.”
As Kuo says, since the iPhone 15 is still in the EVT (Engineering Verification and Testing) stage, getting back to the physical buttons isn’t too difficult. In addition, the analyst adds that this will “have a limited impact on the mass production schedule and shipments.”
Regardless, it is certain that the iPhone 15 series will be introduced and released in late 2023. So it won’t be a surprise to see more claims and leaks on this topic in the coming days.
