Although the iPhone 14 has only been on the shelves for a few days, there are already rumors about Apple’s next iPhone. As reported by MacRumors, supply chain analyst Ross Young said on Twitter that he expects Apple to include Dynamic Island in all its models with the iPhone 15, which it currently only features on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max.

If this prediction is correct, Apple will make Dynamic Island the standard on all new iPhones and completely eliminate the notch that it introduced with the iPhone X in 2017.

But Young also claims that the base iPhone 15 won’t come with the iPhone 14 Pro’s always-on display and a 120Hz LTPO display that provides fast ProMotion feedback.

Dynamic Island is the name given to the pill-shaped screen hole that contains the front camera and Face ID system of the iPhone 14 Pro models. It is widely accepted that Apple cleverly blends it with the rest of the UI using animations that make Dynamic Island appear larger when you interact with it. The addition of Dynamic Island to the iPhone 15 could make an upgrade to next year’s base model more appealing, rather than the minor updates experienced in the transition from the iPhone 13 to the standard iPhone 14.
