NFTs have recently become the only assets that have been talked about more than cryptocurrencies. These projects, which come to the fore with many topics from the use of NFTs in games to NFT thefts, sometimes come up with interesting news.
Recently, we shared that Black Sabbath’s famous lead singer Ozzy Osbourne caused many people to be scammed while trying to promote his NFt project. On top of this event, it was announced that the never-seen photographs of Nirvana, one of the legendary bands of music history, will be offered for sale as NFT.
Photos in NFTs have never been seen before
15 never-before-seen photographs of the legendary rock band Nirvana will be auctioned as NFT. The auction will include 27 more photos taken by photographer Faith West during the band’s concert in Philadelphia on October 1, 1991, 6 days before the release of the Nevermind album.
The auction, which will be organized by Pop Legendz, known for its NFT works related to the music industry, will take place on February 20, the birthday of the legendary lead singer of the band, Kurt Cobain. In addition, negative and color editions of Cobain’s latest photographs and some of his iconic photographs will also be featured on NFT. Apart from the photos, the auction will also include GIFs and colored and psychedelic edited versions of the photos.
Proceeds from the auction will be shared between the two organizations
The auction of GIFs will start between 1ETH and 67 ETH. Half of the proceeds from the auction will be split between the two nonprofits. Some will go to Project Trevor, which helps at-risk LGBTQ+ youth, and some to Grid Alternatives, which provides solar power to working poor families and tackles income inequality.
