Now that Netflix offers mobile games on Android, another question immediately comes to mind: How will these games with features that conflict with Apple’s in-game shopping policy be delivered to iOS players? It looks like this is going to happen the hard way.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has claimed to have seen a code in the “Power On” news release stating that Netflix will release all of its games on iOS “one by one” via the App Store. The games will not be downloaded and played from within the app, instead users will install the games they want to play one by one.

Access to the game catalog will still be available in the main Netflix app, but tapping a game will launch a separate app. The Android version already works that way right now, but Netflix offers the option to integrate games inside the Android app. On iOS, however, it has no choice but to offer the games separately.

Apple requires every game in the App Store to be scanned separately, even if it’s only available in the cloud.
