Netflix, the most successful name among TV series and movie platforms, is attempting an extremely interesting series. As you may recall, Netflix recently announced the ‘secret’ of its success. However, perhaps the real success of the platform is that it appeals to every audience with the various content it contains. The platform, which does not say no to innovations, will now shoot a series about a tweet that has spread to every corner of the internet.
The series, called ‘The Thanksgiving Text’, has a funny and heartwarming story. With Thanksgiving in 2016 just a few days away, a high school senior named Jamal Hinton received a text from an unknown number. The message read, “Thanksgiving dinner is at my house on November 24 at 3pm. Let me know if you’re coming. Hope to see you all. Including Amanda and Dustin, of course. ”
That Tweet that brought the idea of the series to life:
Unable to make sense of the message he received, Hinton said, “Who are you?” replied by writing. The next message that came in was “Grandma’s”. Still confused, Hinton said, “My grandmother? Can you post a photo?” he replied. After sharing photos of each other, Hinton asked if she wasn’t her grandmother but could still come to Thanksgiving dinner. After that, the grandmother said, “Of course you can come. Grandmothers exist to feed everyone. ‘ and invited Hinton over to dinner. For the next five years, Wanda Dench (grandmother) and Jamal Hilton got together every Thanksgiving for a family meal.
There is no information yet on how Netflix, which wants to turn this beautiful story into a series, will follow, because the project is still in its infancy. Dench and Hilton, who received the news of the series, said the following in an interview: “We are very excited to share our story with the world. We hope that the more people hear this story, the more people will be open to forming new relationships. We feel very lucky that a wrongly sent message has enabled such a friendship. ”
