Netflix to Organize and Live-Stream Sports Events

Today, Netflix, which hosts documentaries and live shows as well as movies and TV series, is opening up a new area in the media. According to the news of The Wall Street Journal, the platform is now entering the sports field.

According to Wall Street’s news, which is based on “relevant” sources, Netflix will start organizing show-oriented sporting events, just like live stand-up shows. These events will also be broadcast live on the platform.

Pro golfers and F1 drivers may face off on the live stream:

The first of Netflix’s live sports event plans are already clear. The event, which is scheduled to take place this fall, will include a golf tournament between professional golfers and Formula 1 drivers.

It should be noted that the tournament has not been finalized yet. According to sources, the company is still in talks about the golf tournament. While the tournament is planned to be held in Las Vegas, the names that will participate in the tournament are expected to consist of Formula 1 drivers as well as names from the Full Swing documentary.
