Another Netflix record is about to be broken, of course, according to Netflix’s statement. The Maid, starring Margaret Qualley, is about to surpass The Queen’s Gambit as Netflix’s most-watched mini-series. This statement is included in the earnings report released yesterday.
Maid is a 10-part drama based on the memoir “Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay and a Mother’s Will to Survive” by Stephanie Land. According to Netflix, Maid is on track to be watched by 67 million accounts in its first 28 days of release (it went live on October 1st). The Queen’s Gambit, which currently holds the record for the most watched mini-series on Netflix, was watched by 62 million accounts in its first four weeks.
Netflix also noted that La Casa De Papel season 5 was watched by 69 million accounts, and Sex Education season 3 was watched by 55 million accounts.
The streaming giant also announced that its sensational South Korean drama Squid Game reached 142 million accounts in its first 28 days, making it by far the most-watched original on Netflix. The previous #1 was Bridgerton, who reached 82 million accounts. . .
