Bad news for Cowboy Bebop fans: Netflix has canceled the series after just one season. It came as a surprise to many that the decision to cancel the series came just three weeks after its November 19 debut.
Cowboy Bebop writer and producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach said on Twitter about the cancellation: “I really loved working on this. It came from a real and pure respect and love. I wish we could do what we planned in a second season. But you know what they say, people plan does, god laughs. See you, space cowboy . . . ”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix is still proud to bring to life a risky project like Cowboy Bebop. However, it is not easy to understand why Cowboy Bebop was canceled in such a short time, with the approval rate for the second season reaching 60 percent.
