Netflix, which aims to preserve the popularity of Spanish productions after the end of la casa de papel, has released the video of the new Netflix Spanish production series today. Named The Longest Night and featuring familiar actors in the lead roles, the series drew attention with its date announcement video today.

The Longest Night will begin on the night of December 24, when a group of gunmen invade the Monte Baruca prison and cut off communication with the outside world. In the series, which will tell only one night in all its episodes, the aim of this armed group will be to save the serial killer named Simon Lago. The group demands Lago’s release, while prison warden Hugo refuses, planning to stand up to the attack.

The Longest Night, cast previously in Narcos Alongside Alberto Ammann, it will feature Luis Callejo, Barbara Goenaga, Jose Luis Garcia Perez, Roberto Alamo, Daniel Albaladejo, Cecilia Freire, Xabier Deive, Sabela Aran and Laia Manzanares. Oscar Pedraza will direct the series.

The Longest Night, which will consist of only 6 episodes, will be released on Netflix on July 8th.
