The tension between Russia and Ukraine may affect the semiconductor industry. According to the latest information shared, Ingas and Cryoin companies, which meet about half of the global neon gas supply, announced that they stopped production due to the increase of Russian troops’ attacks on cities across Ukraine.

Although it is not known exactly how much the supply problems will affect semiconductor manufacturers, it is reported that many manufacturers have neon gas stocks for safety reasons. However, TSMC, one of the world’s largest contract chip manufacturers, stated that they have started to make forward preparations and that they have sufficient stocks, and that there will be no problems in the near future.
