Tesla and Twitter boss Elon Musk talked about an unconventional cryptocurrency today instead of DOGE and BTC.
Elon Musk introduces new logo for X-App
The Twitter boss released an update for X-App, a new all-in-one app, on Sunday. He stated that when he finds a suitable logo, he will bring the platform to life immediately. At the beginning of the week, Twitter came out with its expected new logo in front of its users. While Twitter is slowly moving towards the X-App, discussions about ‘branding’ are welcoming new cryptocurrencies.
Twitter’s @dinkin_flickaa wrote to Musk following the recent logo change, “Twitter may be rebranded as an ass, but I still spend 6 hours a day.” Musk responded to this comment with what happened in April…
On April 3, Twitter suddenly replaced its usual blue bird logo with an image of Dogecoin. As Cryptokoin.com reported, this move led to a price increase of over 90% in DOGE price.
In response to @dinkin_flickaa’s comment, Musk said, “We rebranded as a Shiba Inu dog for a while. But it was ineffective,” he wrote. The “Shiba Inu” is a hunting dog breed originating from Japan. It is the smallest of the original and distinctive spitz dog breed native to Japan. Dogecoin (DOGE) uses this breed of dog as its logo, while its rival Shiba Inu (SHIB) uses it as the name. That’s why every conversation that mentions the dog breed is implicit.
A Shiba Inu member proposes a new SHIB-themed platform
The above conversation involving Elon Musk received over 1 million views on Twitter. One of them, SHIB community member VetKusama, took the case to his side, saying, “Okay, then you can go something like this: a Shiba Inu-themed platform connected to the blockchain.”
Musk has tweeted about meme projects like Dogecoin, Baby Doge Coin, Shiba Inu, and Pepe, and has often included them in his tweets. Unlike Dogecoin, which he accepted directly, he only indirectly mentioned Shiba Inu and other altcoins.
Shiba Inu’s third anniversary is approaching
Mazrael, another Shiba Inu member, is expressing her excitement on Twitter that the Shiba Inu turns three in the next six days. Mazrael shared a screenshot of the time the Shiba Inu was deployed on July 31, 2020. He added, “In just 6 days, our beloved Shiba Inu turns three years old.” Mazrael highlights the achievements of the Shiba Inu project: “What an incredible journey. From the ‘meme’ to a complete ecosystem. Metaverse, game, game to win, food, clothing, physics and much more.”
Meanwhile, SHIB price is up over 0.50% on the day to trade at $0.000007803. Details about the highly anticipated Shibarium will be revealed on August 13-17.
