The image was captured by Perseverance’s left front camera as it performed its mission in Jezero Crater. NASA argued that the rope was knotted, unnatural, and ran a possibility. Although the agency speculated that the rope may have fallen out during the installation of Perseverance, it could not confirm.
However, the fact that the traveler has never been to the region where the rope is located gives some thought to this possibility. In recent weeks, Perseverance has found a litter on the surface of Mars. NASA’s Mars team stated that the debris was closely examined in a post on Twitter.
