NASA wants to set foot on the Moon again after a long break. Moreover, it is known that this time a woman and a black astronaut will be included in the team. Although the project has been constantly delayed due to setbacks in the tests, they are determined to go. So when will the Artemis 1 launch be?

All eyes are on late summer for the Artemis 1 launch!

According to the latest statement by NASA, the problematic process has largely been overcome. So there is no need to wait any longer. If nothing else happens, the Artemis 1 launch will take place this summer, in the last week of August or the first few days of September.

Of course, this launch is the first leg of the mission to send humans to the Moon. The rocket, which was launched here without a crew, will be constantly controlled while continuing on its way in a certain trajectory. In particular, life support units and fuel units with problems will be examined.

Afterwards, the launch of the Artemis 2 vehicle and the second test flight will be made. Everything is planned to be perfect here. Because the 3rd leg of the project, Artemis 3, will go to the Moon in a manned manner. However, it is stated that these other 2 tasks will be completed within 3 years. In other words, we will see astronauts jumping on the Moon in 2025.

NASA will mine on the Moon!

The underground resources on earth are slowly being depleted. Scientists working on this subject have turned their eyes to space. The first study seems to take place on the Moon as productive centers for various underground resources continue to be sought.

In the Lunabotics competition organized by NASA, mining tools that will work on and under the Moon took place. Teams from 39 different universities competed to best excavate the material called regolith, which forms the lunar surface.

The teams that design special robots at their own universities to participate in the event also benefit from NASA technology in this process. Successful teams are invited to the Space Education Center (CSE) in Florida, located at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, for the presentation of the robots. The winner of the competition was the University of Alabama and was awarded the Joe Cosmo Award of Excellence.
