NASA recently launched a rocket for the first time from a commercial air base outside the USA, breaking new ground in its history. The institution will be working so hard that today it has come up with a new development once again. This new development is about tiny smartphone-sized robots that will enable them to search for life forms on other planets.
This idea of floating little robots, called SWIM, comes from the front of NASA’s NIAC (Innovative Advanced Concepts) platform. The company shared the first information about these robots with the public in the official press release.
What are little robots called SWIM and what will they do?
These robots, called SWIM (Independent Microswimmers Detection), can melt the ice of frozen oceans on distant planets and aim to go deeper and deliver more comprehensive information to the institution. These robots have advanced sensors, built-in information systems and are planned to be equipped with many more advanced features of their own.
