NASA has already charted its course for life on the Moon. Life on the Moon has been dated following the launch of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the launch of the Artemis 1 mission. A NASA official claimed that “by 2030, life could begin on the Moon.”

NASA official: We can build life on the Moon by 2030

As part of the Artemis 1 mission, the SLS and Orion spacecraft took off from Kennedy Space Center into orbit last Wednesday. Orion Program Manager Howard Hu said they want to create life on the Moon by the end of the decade.

“Certainly in this decade we will have people living on the Moon for a long time, depending on how long they have been on the Moon, there will be habitats,” Hu told the BBC. They will also have rovers on the surface,” he said.

The Artemis program, which aims to take humanity back to the Moon after Apollo, will allow the construction of the Lunar Gateway, a new space station where astronauts can live and work. According to Hu’s statement, this will contribute to space exploration not only of the USA, but of the whole world.

“We will send humans to the Moon, where they will live and work for science. So we’re going back to the Moon, we’re working for a sustainable program, and that’s the vehicle that will get the people to land us on the Moon again,” he said.

The Orion spacecraft has completed the first step of the Moon mission for NASA. Orion, which was sent into space with the 97-meter-high SLS rocket, undertakes the Artemis missions, which will consist of 3 stages. If the test mission is successful, NASA will send astronauts to the same flight path for the Artemis II mission.
