NASA Announces Targeting Unmanned Flight to the Moon in 2022

Humanity’s space travel, space travel, space explorations… These facts, which could only be seen in space-themed science-fiction movies, had become a very normal situation, especially in recent years. Of course, every development, technology, difference brings its own normality. But all of this happens so fast and we witness one another before it ends, that we can accept it as normal as if we have been living in this technology for centuries or seeing space travels all the time.

With the power of technological opportunities and developments, space travels and discoveries have gained speed in recent years. Companies such as Blue Origin and SpaceX also have important studies in this field, while NASA is a pioneer. The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has finally announced that it plans to perform an uncrewed flight to the Moon in February of 2022.

Manned flights will be paved:

Explaining that it is in the final stage of its tests to launch the Orion capsule with the Space Launch System rocket as part of the Artemis 1 mission, NASA stated that this mission will pave the way for future crewed test flights. “The first of a series of increasingly complex missions, Artemis 1 will provide a foundation for deep space exploration and demonstrate our determination and ability to carry human beings to the Moon and beyond before the first flight with the crew on the Artemis II mission,” the statement said.

With the Artemis missions, NASA will take the first woman and the first non-white person to the Moon, using innovative technologies to explore the lunar surface like never before. We will cooperate with commercial and international partners. Then we will use what we learned on and around the Moon to take the next giant leap: sending the first astronauts to Mars.”
