The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) introduced a new robot called “Grace” in an activity. Developed with the contributions of an attempt company called Intuitive Machines, this robot will be sent to the Moon and will discover it in our natural satellite.
The robot Grace has a very interesting feature. So much that this robot has a structure that can jump. The robot, which will be thrown into space to explore the south pole of the Moon, will perform 5 jumps at different heights after landing on the moon surface. The aim of these jumps will be to examine the moon craters.
NASA’s jumping robot looks like this
According to official statements, Grace will be sent into space on February 26 with SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. Grace, which will be placed in a spacecraft called “Athena”, will focus on the examination of the Mons Moston crater on the moon if the landing is successful. The jumping robot will convey the data collected by Nokia with a special technology developed to contact the Moon to Athena.
The mission, which will start on February 26, will be very valuable for humanity. Because NASA did not introduce a robot that had previously jumped. Let’s see if this interesting project will be able to achieve the desired success. If it is successful, it is possible to share the information that there is water on the Moon. Because the purpose of the jumping robot is to look for resources on the Moon.
