Ruja Ignatova, the scammer behind the OneCoin Ponzi scheme, will be added to the FBI’s most wanted list.

Declaring herself as the “Queen of Crypto”, Ignatova had earned more than $4 billion in fraud.

Ignatova, a German citizen of Bulgarian descent, disappeared in 2017 after marketing a fake cryptocurrency called OneCoin. His whereabouts are currently unknown. Although the authorities have searched for Ignatova everywhere, they have not been able to reach a conclusion so far.

The North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) State Police Force suggested that Ignatova may have changed her appearance with a surgical intervention. Authorities are also considering the possibility that Ignatova is under heavily armed guard.

It is also among the allegations that Ignatova may have died.

Ignatova’s brother, Konstantin Ignatov, was arrested in 2019. However, his sentence was postponed on the grounds that he cooperated.

The sentence of Sebastian Greenwood, one of the most important names behind the OneCoin fraud, was also postponed to May 2023.
