At various points in the Vision Pro video at Apple’s WWDC 2023 event, a Vision Pro with a USB-C adapter attached to the right of the headset is seen, which has led to some speculation on social media about what the adapter does.

Connects to Macs via USB-C

The adapter appears to have a USB-C to Mac cable, although there is no definitive image to confirm this. In this case, it is possible for the adapter to provide a direct connection to a Mac to develop visionOS applications in Xcode. However, the purpose of the adapter remains a mystery for now.

Let’s also mention that the Vision Pro’s batteries are on the left side of the title, and the USB-C adapter is connected to the other side. Vision Pro won’t be released until early 2024, so we’ll learn more details about the title in the coming months. Apple will also roll out Vision Pro developer kits in July.
