It seems that no one is quite sure what was caught on the security camera of the Amarillo Zoo in Texas in the early morning darkness. The city seeks help identifying the figure from a vague photograph of what’s on the other side of a fence. If you look closely, it looks like a two-legged and two-armed humanoid being, however, as is always the case with this type of photography, the image is very blurry.
The image shared by the city appears to have been taken on May 21 at 01:25 local time. The municipality posted a photo on social media last Wednesday, “A strange hat person who likes to walk at night? A chupacabra? Any idea what this UAO-Unidentified Amarillo Object could be?” asked questions.
The Amarillo Zoo captured a strange image outside the zoo in the dark and early morning hours of May 21 (around 1:25 a.m.). Is it a person with a strange hat who likes to walk at night? A chupacabra? The Chupacabra is a mythical creature said to drink blood from goats. Social media followers gave various explanations for this image, from a jackal jumping over the fence to Sonic the Hedgehog, lynx to Elvis.
Amarillo’s director of parks and recreation, Michael Kashuba, confirmed to the KFDA news channel that the footage is authentic. Neither the Amarillo mayor’s office nor the parks and recreation department have yet to comment further on the matter.
