Elon Musk, the head of Tesla, SpaceX and X, added a new one to the decisions he made regarding the social media platform. In his livestream speech with the Israeli Prime Minister, Musk said that X will be a paid platform for all users. So, why is X paid?Why will X be paid?
According to Musk, the only way to stop the huge bot army is; making the platform paid. He noted that bot makers will be required to register a new payment method for each bot, thus restricting them from opening fake accounts on X.
Although Musk stated that they would receive a small monthly payment for the use of the X system, he did not make a statement about how much the subscription would be and how it would differ from the existing Premium plan.
550 million monthly active users
It’s unclear exactly when the new subscription plan for X will come into effect. X currently has 550 million monthly active users, who share 100-200 million posts every day.
