Certain MSI B760/Z790 motherboards are discontinued
If we recall, Intel has been supporting DDR5 memory since the 12th Gen processors. However, the entry of DDR5 memory into the market at an expensive price led users to turn to DDR4 solutions. Now, the price drops in DDR5 memory seem to cause changes in manufacturers’ decisions.
Reportedly, the following DDR4 Intel powered motherboards will be phased out:
- MPG Z790 EDGE WIFI DDR4
- PRO Z790-A WIFI DDR4
- PRO Z790-P DDR4
- MAG B760 MORTAR DDR4
The shared listing shows that multiple DDR4 Z790 models will be discontinued. On the other hand, we see that the MSI Z790-P Wi-Fi, Pro and MAG Tomahawk series are not included in the list. As for the B760 series, only one model is currently listed out of 12 motherboards listed on the MSI website. It looks like the brand will continue to offer users more options, at least for mid-range systems.
