Law enforcement in Kosovo conducted cryptocurrency mining raids on municipalities in the north of the country.
According to an official of the Albanian-led government, Kosovo police conducted crypto mining raids on Serb-dominated areas in the north of the country. Many crypto mining devices were confiscated. According to the statements of Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli, the teams seized 174 devices designed to print digital money. Announcing the operation in Zubin Potok on his social media account, the Minister expressed the non-payment of electricity bills along with illegal activities.
Kosovo Government Continues to Block Crypto Mining
Announcing the operation in Zubin Potok for the first time on social media, the minister stated that mining activities led to illegal situations in electricity consumption and these situations triggered different actions. Illegal system use, one of the biggest problems of crypto mining, still remains on the agenda.
This operation by the Kosovo police targeting cryptomining devices has “confused crypto investors” regarding mining.
