According to a report by NBC News, mothers have started to enter the cryptocurrency space to educate themselves digitally.
Moms Explore the Cryptocurrency Space
After Facebook changed its name to Meta last October by announcing its focus on the metaverse, Sarah Monson, cryptocurrencies and He began making an effort to learn about NFTs.
Speaking at the NFT LA conference in early April, Monson told attendees that she’s trying to understand the metaverse to help her 6-year-old daughter navigate the increasingly complex digital environment. Monson told she started learning about technologies related to the metaverse, including NFTs and cryptocurrencies. Monson expressed that she wanted to educate herself on this subject.
The report revealed that an increasing number of mothers are starting to invest in crypto, a market predominantly dominated by young male investors.
Most of the mom investors interviewed by NBC News reported that they were interested in crypto as a way to “significantly change” their family’s financial security.
