After the pandemic period, in which almost every sector grew rapidly and money was constantly printed on the market, the global inflation crisis broke out. This time, companies started to shrink at the same pace.
Motherboard sales in trouble
The slow shrinking trend of the computer market also negatively affects component supplies. Average prices are falling while stocks remain. Motherboard supply is one of the most affected by this.
Major motherboard manufacturers are lowering their sales expectations for 2022. Asus, which sold 18 million motherboards last year, has reduced its target to 14 million this year. Gigabyte, which sells 13 million motherboards, has a sales expectation of 9.5 million.
On the other hand, the sales estimate of 40 million in the motherboard market decreased to 30 million. Both the market and the manufacturers expect a cut of around 25 percent. Some activity is expected next year with Ryzen 7000 and Intel Raptor Lake, but it is stated that there will be a troublesome process in the collection computer class until the end of 2023.
