The legendary fighting game series is getting ready to return with Mortal Kombat 1. A new trailer has been released at the San Diego Comic-Con 2023 event for the iconic game, which appeared with a gameplay video in the past. Three new characters were also introduced in the trailer.
Three new characters introduced for Mortal Kombat 1
The new game, which will combine iconic characters with innovative fighting tactics, has increased the excitement once again with its latest trailer. The game’s new trailer reveals three new characters: Baraka, Li Mei and Tanya.
Baraka first appeared in Mortal Kombat 2. The character we have seen in many Mortal Kombat games since that day, with his big teeth, his annoying smile and the knives in his arms, is a complete horror item.
Tanya, who first appeared in Mortal Kombat 4, stands out with her fast movement and pyrokinetic abilities. Tanya, who we see as a DLC fighter in Mortal Kombat X, seems to add a different breath to the game in Mortal Kombat 1.
We first met Li Mei in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Bo’ Rai Cho is the fourth character to be moved from Deadly Alliance to Mortal Kombat 1, following Kensi and Frost. Li Mei, who looks really impressive with his purple energy flows and agile movements, managed to impress us in the published trailer.
The trailer also reveals that the character of Shang Tsung can be purchased with the pre-order. In addition to this extra character, those who pre-order will also have access to the beta version of the game. Mortal Kombat 1 will release on September 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, PC and Nintendo Switch. In addition, those who pre-order the game for PS5 or Xbox Series X / S will get access to the beta test, which is scheduled to take place in August.
