American Dave Chappelle has been on the agenda with his offensive stand-up shows for the past few years. The famous comedian, who has signed under the works that some segments can call successful and has broadcast many shows, has once again stirred up the mess because of his show called The Closer, which was broadcast on Netflix.
For the past few weeks, Netflix employees have sort of waged a war against Dave Chappelle, who has described himself as a “trans-exclusionary radical feminist” and made homophobic remarks on The Closer. Netflix Co-Chairman Ted Sarandos supported Chappelle, who was harshly criticized for making fun of LGBTQ communities, and caused more than a thousand employees to resign.
Tarandos gave examples of war games to justify himself.

In a recent statement, Sarandos stated that “the content on the screen does not harm the real world” and stated that Dave Chappelle’s statements do not have the potential to incite violence. Sarandos gave a strange example on these explanations; “The strongest evidence to support this is the fact that while war-type games have increased over the past 30 years, violent crime rates have decreased significantly in many countries.”
After these statements, three Netflix employees who questioned Chappelle’s statements were suspended, and the employees decided to revolt against both Chappelle and Tarandos. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, a Netflix employee announced that more than a thousand employees will stop working and direct their energies to charities affiliated with trans communities.
