Apple will overhaul all ringtones and text tones in iOS 17, offering more than 20 new sounds that can be used for phone calls, messages, alarms, and more. With iOS 17, almost all of the ringtones listed in the Sounds & Haptics menu will be new, so there will be plenty of options to choose from.New ringtones coming with iOS 17
Compared to the old ringtones, most of the new ringtones will be longer and have a more modern structure. Apple is also moving all previous ringtones to the “Classic” section. Thus, frequently used ringtones will be accessible. The new ringtones are named: Arpeggio, Breaking, Canopy, Chalet, Chirp, Daybreak, Departure, Dollop, Journey, Kettle, Mercury, Milky Way, Quad, Radial, Scavenger, Seedling, Shelter, Sprinkles, Steps, Storytime, Tease, Tilt, Unfold and Valley.
Innovations with iOS 17 include a new contact view on the lock screen, advanced autocompletion, adding messages in FaceTime, stickers in the Messages application, check-in, StandBy for using the iPhone as a bedside clock, and sharing contact information between iPhones. There’s NameDrop, the new journaling app Journal, and more. iOS 17 will be released on September 18.
