Duster, the affordable SUV model of Dacia, one of the successful players in the automotive market, has been renewed. With a more aggressive and stronger structure than its predecessor, the vehicle attracts attention with its vehicle features and design. So what does Dacia Duster 2024 offer? Here are the details!
New Dacia Duster (2024) features and design
Dacia Duster 2024 is based on Renault and Nissan’s CMF-B platform. On the design side, the SUV, which looks more aggressive and stylish than the previous model, owes these changes to the Bigster concept. The most notable changes in this area of the vehicle were made in the front and rear parts. Because the new Duster 2024 now has a thinner but stylish headlight and grille appearance at the front. We can also say that the height has decreased slightly compared to its predecessor.
When we move to the back of the vehicle, we are greeted by Y-shaped headlight sets. As you may remember, the previous Duster featured square-shaped headlights. This stands out as one of the important changes in the model. Moreover, the rear door handle of the vehicle is hidden in the C-pillar, and the roof line slopes towards the rear for a more stylish appearance. As we mentioned above, although the height decreased slightly, the overall dimensions of the vehicle did not change.
With Dacia Duster 2024, the diesel engine is said goodbye. At this point, the new model offers three different options: mild hybrid, full hybrid and LPG. While the mild hybrid option is called TCe 130, it has a 1.2 liter turbocharged gasoline engine combined with a 48V mild hybrid system and can produce 128 horsepower. What’s more, it comes with a six-speed manual transmission as standard and two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive options.
The full hybrid model is available to drivers with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine that produces 94 hp and an electric engine that can produce 49 hp. This version, called Hybrid 140, includes a renewed braking system and a small but efficient battery of 1.2kWh. In fact, according to the company’s claim, this option can offer up to 80 percent driving in fully electric mode in the city. We should point out that the full hybrid option only comes with an automatic transmission.
Finally, the ECO-G, that is, LPG option, which we also encountered in previous models, also takes its place in the new Duster. Clear details about this option have not been provided yet. However, according to available data, it can travel approximately 1,300 km thanks to two fuel tanks (one for gasoline and the other for LPG). The price details of the vehicle are not known yet.
