Mobile phones with metal screen are coming

Glass, which is a very fragile substance, is a material that is limited to its use due to this feature. However, scientists are now working on a method that will make metals transparent as glass.

If this work is successful, our expensive phones can be made of transparent metal, and even if they fall, we may have screens that do not break and crack.

So what exactly scientists are doing to realize this? In fact, a material called transparent aluminum oxide (Talox) is already known in the scientific world. TAIOX is a fully transparent metal with optical clarity, such as glass, while the TAIOX is as strong as metal.

However, TAIOX could be achieved through a very difficult and expensive production process to date, and it was not seen as a logical process to produce and use transparent metals. To create this material, high -power lasers, vacuum rooms or dangerous acid tanks were required.

Now scientists from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines have found a way to achieve this material much more practical.

The application area is too much

Instead of relying on complex machines to turn this transparent metal reality, scientists discovered a way to convert the aluminum into TAIOX using a few micro droplet acids and electric currents. All this was possible thanks to a technique called “Drop Scale Anodization”.

If researchers can now adapt this method to large -scale productions, we can now begin to see products made of transparent metals in our lives. Airplane windows, telephone/TV/monitor screens, windows, transparent tables, household appliances … In other words, the world seems to meet the “broken glass” soon.
