Data.ai has released its third quarter report, which reveals the state of the mobile gaming market.More and more users are spending their money on mobile games. So much so that the resulting amount is extremely surprising. In the third quarter of 2022, mobile gamers spent approximately $1.5 billion on these games each week. This table represents a significant increase compared to a few years ago.
Parallel to this, the number of games where money can be spent is increasing day by day. According to data released by Data.ai, users downloaded 1.1 billion games weekly. The research shows that with this level of spending, the expected revenue from the video game market will reach $222 billion in 2022. According to estimates, 60 percent of the said revenue will come from mobile games.
When we look at the revenue analysis of the application stores, it is seen that approximately two-thirds of the 11.4 billion dollars revenue from the Google Play Store comes from games. In contrast, almost half of the $21 billion spent on iOS went to games.
