According to a leak from Windows Report, Lenovo may soon launch a portable game console that will rival Windows handheld models like the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally, and offer removable controls like the Switch. Dubbed Legion Go, it will reportedly run Windows 11 and feature AMD’s new Phoenix processors, offering features like a kickstand, microSD slot, and a pair of USB-C ports.
No device-related specs have been leaked yet, but leaked Legion Go images show the back, shoulder and side triggers and a wheel hidden under the upper-right trigger. It also has a headphone port, volume buttons and a large cooling hole on the back. Considering the detachable control arms, the display, which is said to be 8 inches in size, is likely to be touchscreen too.
According to an earlier rumor, Lenovo produced a portable game console prototype called Legion Play but never released it. Still, it might make sense for the PC-focused company to offer a handheld Windows gaming device, and detachable Switch-like controls could help the Legion Go gain an edge over its rivals.
