Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer met with journalists and informed them about the latest studies in education and the metaverse in education. Özer said that infrastructure works have been started in schools for the transition to the metaverse.
Minister Özer used the following statements regarding the metaverse:
“Work has started on vocational training, especially about virtual reality. Especially in risky areas in terms of occupational health and safety, vocational training in the world has moved to augmented virtual reality. We will apply the same to vocational training. For example, we started to apply it in the field of welding and mining.”
Minister Özer said that the problem with virtual reality is that private enterprises and the industry are not strong yet. Finally, the Minister stated the following:
“We intensified the work on establishing and developing the infrastructure related to augmented virtual reality, creating digital content. For education, work on Metaverse continues.”
