Automakers have been crushing each other in the race to launch electric bikes in recent years. For example, last month, Audi and Fantic partnered up for electric bikes. Now, giant automaker BMW has announced that it has signed an agreement with French bicycle manufacturer Angell Mobility.

Although electric bicycles, which gained a great momentum after electric cars, attract the attention of many big brands, brands generally do not make this production in-house. Instead, it forms partnerships with bike manufacturers that already exist. The last example of this was BMW.

BMW may enter the market with electric bikes under the Mini brand name

BMW is preparing to launch one or more electric bikes under the Mini brand. Unfortunately, there are no images yet that show what the Mini-branded electric bikes will look like.

Besides, according to Bike Europe; BMW’s electric bikes could be ready by the end of this year.

According to the information obtained; Angell Mobility, with which BMW has a deal, is a fairly new company. Founded just 3 years ago, the company seems to have managed to make a name for itself with its two e-bikes with application connection, turn signals and anti-theft technology, although it is new in the industry.

This venture is not the auto giant’s first venture. Alongside high-powered electric bikes, BMW has introduced concepts for smaller electric scooters and even cargo electric bikes.
