Minecraft Dungeons is a Diablo-like and Minecraft-based action game where you go from one area to another, defeat enemies and collect better items. The game has received a number of expansion packs since its release nearly two years ago and has always managed to keep players’ interest alive.
Developer Mojang Studios announced in a recent statement that the game has passed 15 million players. It’s unclear how many of these are paid sales when Xbox Game Pass subscriptions kick in. Still, 15 million is sure to be quite a feat.
There is a new event until February 22, 2022 called Frost Festival. If you want to explore the snow-covered levels and more, it’s worth checking out the event. If you play the game until this date, you can also win winter-themed prizes.
While these numbers are nowhere near Minecraft’s monthly active users, Minecraft Dungeons proves that the brand can be offered in many different forms. It’s sure to be interesting to see what awaits Mojang Studios in the future…
