According to the latest data provided by Shibburn researcher, in the last 24 hours the SHIB community has sold millions of SHIB coins, significantly increasing the SHIB burning rate.
Meanwhile, Shibarium has been noted to be nearing a historic milestone in one of its major utility metrics.
SHIB burn rate increased by nearly a thousand percent
Shibburn reported that the burn rate of Shiba Inu, the second largest meme coin by market cap, increased by a massive 968 percent, with a total of 15,919,048 SHIB coins transferred to “inferno” wallets. Almost this entire amount of SHIB was burned in a single transfer made 20 hours ago. That removed 14,807,888 Shiba Inu from the circulating supply.
These burns were largely carried out with the help of the Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium, as many projects have built on top of it and launched NFTs.
Shibarium is about to reach a major milestone
Shibariumscan explorer shared that Shibarium is some way off reaching the historic milestone of 4 million transactions. Currently, the total number of transactions is recorded as 3 million 934 thousand 662. The number of daily transactions today has increased to 13 thousand 210 from the 10 thousand level reached in October and lasted until recently.
