Crypto investment firm Blockchain Capital has raised $580 million for two new funds. This move of the company was considered as a “challenge” in stagnant market conditions.
Blockchain Capital announced that it has closed two new funds totaling $580 million. Company executives Spencer Bogart, Bart Stephens and Jason Di Piazza evaluated this figure as the largest increase in the company’s ten-year history. Stephens said in a statement that the main theme is “scalability,” as reflected by the company’s investment in zero-knowledge proof technology pioneers Matter Labs and Risc Zero.
On the other hand, when the company’s previous activities were examined, it was noted that gaming, DeFi, consumer and social sector investments were the focus. The company had also invested in Web3 social platforms and games during the bear market. In terms of research, it was stated that it targets the intersections of privacy, loyalty programs, security and artificial intelligence and crypto.
