Microsoft has been producing ugly Windows-themed sweaters for five years. This year’s theme is Office’s iconic paper clip Clippy, and the sweaters are already on sale.
When the paper clip assistant, which Microsoft thought was cute, first appeared in the Office series, it was loved by some users and hated by others. This year’s sweaters are up for sale on the Xbox Gear Shop and retail for $74.99.
Although this may seem like a very high amount for an ugly sweater, the important thing is that the proceeds from the sweater will be donated to a foundation. In addition to this income, Microsoft will also donate $100,000 to the same foundation.
Microsoft started the ugly sweater tradition at the beginning of 2017, and themes such as Windows 95, Windows XP, Paint, Minecraft were used before. This year, the theme for Office, not Windows, was chosen and its hero was Clippy.
